Joe Charlet, Managing Editor of Productions

Joe is from the great state of North Carolina and grew up on Cape Hatteras Island. He majored in Classical Civilization at Yale where he wrote his senior thesis, “The Malleable Mother: A Study of Pre-Roman Cybele, the Magna Mater, and the Evolution of Her Cult at Rome.” At UVA, Joe has worked for VJIL as an Articles Editor and now as Managing Editor for Production. Additionally, he has served as the Vice President for Voter Protection and then acting-President of the UVA Law Democrats, the Social Chair for the Lambda Law Alliance, a Community Outreach Co-chair for the Virginia Environmental Law Forum, and competed in moot court competitions for both the Black Law Students Association and the UVA Extramural Moot Court team. After law school, Joe will work in Washington, D.C. at Hogan Lovells LLP. In his free time, Joe enjoys hiking, rock climbing, sea chanteys, and, of course, softball.
