Keisha James, Research & Projects Editor
Keisha is originally from Tampa Bay, Florida and received her B.A. in Political Science and International Studies from Northwestern University. As an undergraduate, she spent a summer in Ethiopia researching women’s access to justice, and a semester in Jordan studying diplomacy in the Middle East. Before coming to law school, Keisha worked at a Chicago non-profit as a court advocate for domestic violence victims. At Virginia Law, she has been involved with VJIL as the Managing Editor for Research & Projects, with the Black Law Students Association, and is a Fellow with the Law and Public Service Program. Keisha spent the summer of 2017 in Washington, D.C. as a summer associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP. Keisha enjoys international travel, comedy, and cliff jumping.
